The Friends of the Mt. Pleasant Library, Inc. is a nonprofit group that works to support programming, outreach, and experiences at the Mt. Pleasant Public Library Branch in Cabarrus County, NC.
At the October Town Meeting, the Town of Mount Pleasant declared that Wednesday, October 23, 2024 is "Mount Pleasant Library Day"! The beautiful new library and senior center is located at 1111 N. Washington St., Mt. Pleasant.

From Jeffrey Blount to Kristy Woodson Harvey, the MP Friends have brought enriching experiences to our community. This fall, we helped support New York Times Bestseller author William Kent Krueger’s visit to Cabarrus County on October 3, 2024.
April 24 - 26, 2025 will mark the first chapter of our very first Mt. Pleasant Literary Festival, a celebration of books, authors, and the literary arts, held at our new library.
Our annual community play brings our community together every February, and we host a used book sale every year. Look for us in parades and at local festivals!
